Introduction:
I am battling a number of health conditions but staying strong
and optimistic. I enjoy thought provoking conversations. There is
more to life than food, travelling and daily errands (although,
every topic has its place in the right context). I don't like
small talk or the modern way of communicating, i. e. one word
sentences and one sentence 'paragraphs', lol.
We are connected via technological advances but social isolation
is becoming the new plague. People can have a crowd of followers
or online contacts and feel lonely, abandoned, if not forgotten
in real life. I think that we are loosing the skill of making a
conversation, and I don't mean the old-fashioned letter writing,
however, that in itself was a skill too.
The world is getting crazier by the day yet life goes on and no
one seems to want to talk about it. Meanwhile, we are running out
of conspiracy theories because they all come true! Lol.
It would be nice to have philosophical discussion about a mixture
of things: geopolitics, migration, climate, spirituality,
classified files, a purpose of living and a living with a
purpose, etc.
Don't approach me with relationship nonsense as I will not extend
my attention to that.
Drop a well composed response if you think outside the box, and
we'll take it from there.

Introduction:
Hi I am Nettie, I am 45 from Australia, just interested in snail mail letters
from people all around the world who can write and read English, apologies I
don’t know how to read and write in any other language, I would love to
learn though. I have many hobbies as you can see and would prefer people

Introduction:
What brings me here..... loneliness. I am very much anextrovert
when I am outside amongst people but there are days when I can
become extremely introverted and want to be alone. I have had
alot of dissapointments and sometimes I feel like I just want to
give up hope for friendships, love or anything good. I remember
when I was 12 years old, I received my very firt penpal letter
from England. It was the best thing in the world to me and I used
to wait maybe a few hours before opening my letters because I
knew if I opened it, I would devour every word and the joy and
anticipation of reading would be over in less than 5 minutes and
Iwanted that excitement to last, even just a few hours longer. I
used to wait about 2 -3 weeks to get a reply (mostly 2) and it
felt like time stood still just waiting for that. I miss those
days, where we weren't poisoned with all the social media
platforms of today and where people made genuine , beautiful
friendship for a lifetime. What I am hoping for, even though I
stated that I don't think I have much left, is to perhaps still
find some real people out there who want to make lasting
friendships.

I love rain, naps, tea that’s too hot, quiet that hums, and days
where doing nothing feels earned.
I write. Poetry when I’m brave. Prose when I’m stubborn. Lists
when I’m overwhelmed. Letters when I’m hopeful. I want emails
that wander and end somewhere unexpected.
I like tangents, humor that doesn’t punch down, and friends who
are made slowly. I swear sometimes. I laugh at the wrong moments.
I’m slightly off-color and occasionally crude.
Comfy clothes are sacred. Sweats, old hoodies, bare feet, pillows
stacked wrong, and falling asleep to something you’ve already
seen so your brain will finally shut up.
What I want in a pen pal is presence, not efficiency. Someone who
can spiral with me. Someone who understands that nonsense is
sometimes how truth sneaks in. Someone who can be thoughtful,
funny, boring, and human.
You don’t have to like everything I like. You do have to be
curious, kind, and capable of depth without drama.
