Does my choice of wine match and compliment? Is the appetizer going to entice the taste buds? Is there enough? We sit down to eat. The pressure is off, now it's time to relax and have a casual chat about irrelevant things. The wine is poured and two things happen - both the flavour of the wine is improved by the food, and the flavour of the food is improved by the wine. There could be a different bottle for each course. The meal is finished and everyone is fulfilled.
